Acceptance\n\nThese Terms govern your use of the Herculane mobile application and its\nsupporting API (\"Service\"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms\nand the [Privacy Policy](..\u002Fprivacy\u002Fen-US.md). If you do not agree, do not\nuse account-based or community features.\n\n## 2. The Service\n\nHerculane provides information and discovery features relating to Băile\nHerculane and its surroundings, including places, local attractions,\naccommodations, restaurants, events, weather, maps, and community stories.\nFeatures may change, be unavailable, or depend on internet access and\nthird-party services.\n\nInformation about places, routes, weather, opening hours, and local services\nis provided for general information. It may be incomplete, outdated, or\ninaccurate. Herculane is not an emergency service, a substitute for official\ntravel or safety advice, or a guarantee that a route or facility is open or\nsafe. Check current local conditions and official guidance before relying on\ninformation, especially when hiking or visiting natural areas.\n\n## 3. Eligibility and Accounts\n\nSome features require an account through the identity provider at id.aham.ro.\nAccount features are intended for people aged 16 or older. You must provide\naccurate information where requested, protect your sign-in credentials, and\npromptly tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without\nauthorization.\n\nYou may edit available profile information in the app. The currently reviewed\nAPI does not provide an account-deletion control. To request account\ndeletion, contact [admin@aham.ro](mailto:%61%64%6d%69%6e%40%61%68%61%6d%2e%72%6f). Deleting the app\nfrom your device does not delete your account or server-side content.\n\n## 4. Your Content\n\nYou retain any rights you hold in the stories, text, photos, and other\ncontent you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free\nlicense to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content as\nneeded to operate Herculane, make it available according to your settings,\nand moderate or secure the Service. This license ends when the content is\ndeleted, except for copies that must be retained by law or may remain\ntemporarily in backups.\n\nDrafts are associated with your account and are not published as stories\nuntil you choose to publish them. Published stories can be seen by other\nusers. When you enable the option to allow pictures to be shared in\ngalleries, you authorize the selected pictures to be made available for that\ngallery use. Do not submit images or information that you do not have the\nright to share.\n\nYou are responsible for your content and must ensure that you have the\nnecessary rights and permissions. Do not submit unlawful, deceptive,\nthreatening, harassing, discriminatory, or harmful content, infringe another\nperson's rights, disclose someone else's sensitive information without\npermission, or use the Service to spam or mislead others.\n\nWe may remove or restrict content or access when reasonably necessary to\nenforce these Terms, comply with law, address safety concerns, or protect the\nService and its users. You can delete available stories using the app\ncontrols or contact us for help.\n\n## 5. Acceptable Use\n\nYou agree not to:\n\n- use the Service unlawfully or to violate another person's rights;\n- attempt unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, or systems;\n- disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service, except\n  where applicable law permits;\n- upload malware or other harmful code;\n- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation; or\n- use automated access in a way that harms the Service or its users.\n\n## 6. Our Intellectual Property\n\nThe Service's software, branding, and materials, excluding user-submitted\ncontent and third-party materials, are owned by or licensed to the operator.\nThese Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You may use the Service for its\nintended personal purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.\n\n## 7. Third-Party Services\n\nThe Service relies on external services, including an identity provider and\nweather data from Open-Meteo. Their services may have separate terms and\nprivacy notices. The identity service publishes its own\n[Terms and Conditions](..\u002F..\u002Fiam\u002Fterms\u002Fen.md) and\n[Privacy Policy](..\u002F..\u002Fiam\u002Fprivacy\u002Fen.md). We are not responsible for\nthird-party services that we do not operate.\n\n## 8. Availability and Liability\n\nWe aim to provide a useful and reliable Service but do not guarantee\nuninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or the accuracy or\ncompleteness of user-submitted or third-party information. To the extent\npermitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties not expressly\nstated in these Terms.\n\nNothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or\nlimitation is not permitted by applicable law, including mandatory consumer\nrights. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or\nconsequential loss arising from your use of information in the Service.\n\n## 9. Suspension and Termination\n\nYou may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if\nyou materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to\nprotect users or the Service. Where practical and lawful, we will provide\nnotice and an opportunity to address the issue.\n\n## 10. Changes to These Terms\n\nWe may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. We\nwill update the date above and provide notice of material changes where\nrequired. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the\nupdated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.\n\n## 11. Governing Law\n\nRomanian law applies to these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer\nprotections and rights that apply in your country of residence.\n\n## 12.
